I’m From Rice Serum Review
I’m From is a Korean skin care brand that has driven beauty trends with its philosophy of transparency and uniqueness of the formulas. By claiming itself as an “ingredient-conscious brand,” I’m From creates a feeling of trust. They have nothing to hide, and this sounds extremely intriguing. Are you guys really that good?! We want to know! Recently, I reviewed one of its popular products – I’m From Rice Serum. Scroll down to learn more about my experience and find information about its key ingredients.
Table of Contents
Box, Bottle, and Pump
Box: I’m From is creative. Just look at its packaging! It has not only information about components and directions of use but also a description of the place where the main ingredient was found. The brand dedicated a whole side of the box, painting an island with a latitude and longitude. This is nice because we can take an imaginary journey when we start using its product.
Bottle: The serum is stored in a durable glass bottle that takes it to the next level of luxury. On the one hand, this material is expensive, directly reflected in the product’s price. On the other hand, a glass bottle prolongs a serum’s shelf-life and doesn’t leach chemical components into the formula.
Pump: I’m From Rice Serum has an airless pump, which is absolutely amazing. It is more hygienic than traditional pumps or droppers because you don’t need to dig your fingers into the product, contaminating it. Besides, the airless pump protects the formula from the outside air, which is especially crucial for sensetive ingredients. Finally, unlike a regular pump, it can pull the remaining product up to dispense. That means less waste!
Key Ingredients Review
Rice Ferment Filtrate
Rice Ferment Filtrate is a mix of nutrients like active polypeptides and amino acids obtained from the fermentation of brown rice. It can improve pH levels, soothe, and support cell renewal.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a form of water-soluble vitamin B3 responsible for improving cellular renewal. It can reduce inflammation, soften fine lines, improve uneven skin tone, and diminish dullness.
Squalane
Squalane is the shelf-stable version of squalene, a naturally hydrating lipid that occurs in our skin’s sebum. It can hydrate the skin, smooth rough texture, and reduce irritation.
Panthenol
Panthenol is a well-known humectant with anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. It also acts as an emollient, meaning that it can manage dry skin and protect it from environmental stressors.
Tranexamic Acid
Tranexamic Acid acts as a brightening agent by preventing skin pigment (melanin) formation. That means it can fade hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and dark spots.
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is a chemically broken-down form of hyaluronic acid that mainly works on top of the skin. It is not the most moisturizing option; thus, many formulas combine this ingredient with sodium hyaluronate.
Sodium Hyaluronate
Sodium Hyaluronate is a salt form of hyaluronic acid with a lower molecular weight than hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid. It easily penetrates deep layers of the skin, providing incredible hydration.
Madecassoside
Madecassoside is an active ingredient obtained from the well-known Centella Asiatica. It relieves redness and inflammation and is mainly used by people with autoimmune skin issues.
Portulaca Oleracea Extract
Portulaca Oleracea Extract is a multifunctional compound rich in vitamins A, B, C, and E, as well as skin-beneficial minerals like potassium, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids. It can reduce inflammation, enhance wound healing, and protect from damaging free radicals.
I’m From Rice Serum Review
To begin with, I’d like to describe my skin and my typical beauty routine to give you an idea of how I’m From Rice Serum has worked for me. I am a young (29 y.o.) woman with combination skin and slightly large pores on the nose area. Sometimes, I have rare blackheads, which I easily remove by doing facial extractions. Since the age of 20, my skin has become very sensitive to some cosmetic ingredients, so I always carefully read the label and do the patch test before using the product on my face. As a skin care enthusiast, I like to try new products, and I’m From Rice Serum gave me a lot of excitement.
How Do I Use it?
I started using I’m From Rice Serum in July. Since it is the hottest period of the year, the steps of my skincare routine are cut down to a minimum. So, my strategies for using this serum might seem unusual, but my skin responded positively, which means I did everything right. You can try this regimen as well if you have a similar skin condition.

How Does My Skin Response?
Next, I would like to describe the product itself and how my skin has interacted with it. The serum is not thick and has a gel consistency. The texture is light, watery, and very moisturizing. There is no annoying smell, which made me happy the most. When applied to the skin, it absorbs very quickly and leaves only a soft glow on the face. After about five minutes, the skin completely absorbs the product and doesn’t shine. It leaves no film or any sticky feeling. I like how deeply it hydrates my skin without clogging the pores.

Cons of I’m From Rice Serum
I tried hard to find any disadvantages of this product, but it works as intended. The only thing that saddens me is that formula runs out fast. So, get a second one in advance.
